I find that a walk on the beach after working at the Birch Aquarium all day recharges me and brings me closer to our mission  – caring for our ocean.

I was surprised to see a pair of Mallard on the shore – not something I see very often

Lots of tiny, pebble-sized sand crabs scrambling about – Here is one enlarged  – such wonderful camouflage!

As I turned to go back I saw a Pheobe busy looking for insects at the high tide mark
