A Walk in the Cotswolds

A few days ago I spent a day in the Cotswolds, deep in the heart of the English countryside. I went to Uley Bury,an ancient hill fort well over a thousand years old – making a wonderful walk around the top of a hill.

 wildflowers and

beautiful vistas from every side of the Bury and a British Buzzard overhead

Nice photos, though I know from my own visit that it’s hard to capture the hill fort itself (needs aerial photography, really). My own visit is written up, with some photographs, is at http://wanderingdanny.com/oxford/2010/10/uley-bury-jenner-museum/
