The morning after i arrived I went for a long walk in the woods and meadows near the lake. Almost the first animal I saw was a Red Squirrel.  I think it’s the ear-tufts combined with a rather big nose which makes this animal adorable and one of my favorites.

The flowers are wonderful in Ireland in the springtime. In May and June the wild Yellow iris come out and ring the lake with a yellow collar. The brilliant Blue Speedwell is everywhere.
