I am posting some photographs I took of wonderful and sometimes startling creatures that I saw in Taiwan – in honor of Halloween – A large centipede, huge red wasp, slug, land crab in the forest, brightly colored fiddler crabs in the mangroves, giant snails and bright pink eggs from the invasive apple snails. Happy Halloween!

Hi, is the slug looking creature a slug or a leech?
Good question. I know it is not clear form the photograph but it was told by local naturalists that it was a slug
